For September’s main talk, we welcome Dr Rider Stokes who is a postdoctoral researcher currently working at the Open University.
Dr Stokes specialises in planetary science – particularly mineralogical studies of the surfaces of asteroids and plantary formation and has several publications to his name on in-depth studies of the composition of asteroids. He also spends time presenting lectures on his work at astronomical meetings.
Dr Rider-Stokes was awarded the Elsevier Award for his work with the Meteoritical Society.
