For this month’s meeting we welcome back Dr Martin Braddock who has a special interest in astro-biology.

Alongside his professional career in biomedical science, Dr Braddock has developed a deep and wide-ranging interest in astronomy, cosmology and astrobiology. He is particularly interested in topics such as the search for extraterrestrial life, the habitability of exoplanets, and the challenges of long-duration human space exploration. His work often explores the challenges humans face with extra-terestial exploration and the technologies needed for future missions to the Moon and Mars.

A passionate science communicator, Dr Braddock regularly speaks at astronomical societies across the UK and is actively involved with community organisations including the Mansfield and Sutton Astronomical Society and Newton’s Astronomical Society.
